Nino Polizzotti


Socio-Economic and Transport Planning Expert
Nino Polizzotti is an Italian socio-economist and transport planning specialist with nearly a decade of project experience across Africa, Eastern Europe, the Western Balkans, and Latin America, working for major multilateral financiers including the World Bank, the African Development Bank, and the EBRD.
Since 2015, he has served as a Socio-Economist Consultant at SPT srl – Studi e Pianificazione del Territorio, contributing as Social Economist, Transport Economist, Trade Economist, Gender Analyst, and Environmental Expert across a wide portfolio spanning rural roads, highways, railways, and public transport reform in developing and transition economies. Prior to that, he worked with Caritas Cusco in Peru on community development and gender empowerment programmes, and at the FAO's Decent Rural Employment Team in Rome.
He holds three degrees from Rome's leading universities, in International Development Economics, Environmental and Development Economics, and Transport Economics and Logistics. He is fluent in Italian, English, French, and Spanish.
