John Cronin

Global Strategy Advisor

John is a British senior executive and consultant with over five decades of experience spanning military service, international finance, energy, manufacturing, and corporate strategy.

He began his career in the British Army (1959–1984), rising from the ranks to become a commissioned officer and retiring as a Captain, followed by nine years of reserve service. He then transitioned to the private sector as Finance Manager for the Middle East at a US-based corporation in Dubai, before joining Saudi Aramco as Exploration Support Contracts Manager, where he developed expertise in large-scale energy procurement and international contract management.

John later founded a manufacturing company in the tubulars sector, which within four years became the world’s largest producer of OCTG connectors, securing major US approvals and Russian GOST certification, and supplying leading European manufacturers.

He subsequently acquired Coventry Climax Engines, building it into a primary defence contractor working with organisations such as BAE Systems and establishing approved contractor status in the United States.

He now operates as an independent consultant, advising organisations on corporate strategy and organisational structure.
