Italy: Master Plan for Roma Fiumicino Airport
Senior Counsel Sergio Polizzotti, through our Allied Partner Firm SPT Roma srl, advised Aeroporti di Roma SpA on the development of the new Master Plan for Rome Fiumicino Airport covering the 2020 to 2040 planning horizon, under a mandate carried out in 2013. The assignment was prepared in fulfilment of ADR's obligations under its regulatory agreement with ENAC, the Italian Civil Aviation Authority, and covered both airside and landside infrastructure development planning to accommodate projected transport demand growth over the period. The scope of services encompassed the definition of expected transport demand for the 2020 to 2040 period, identification of the infrastructure measures required to meet that demand, preparation of the airport enlargement master plan, cost estimation for the full programme, and assessment of PPP financing opportunities for the delivery of the planned infrastructure.
