Senior Counsel Sergio Polizzotti, through Allied Partner Firm SPT Roma srl, carried out an evaluation of studies co-financed by the European Commission on the international section of the new Trans-Alpine rail link between Lyon and Turin, with a specific focus on the activities of the GEIE Alps Tunnel group related to the realisation of the railway tunnel between Turin and Lyon. The scope of services encompassed ex-post evaluation of the co-financed studies, economic and financial analysis of the project, project financing advisory, analysis of the technical, financial and legal aspects relevant to construction specifications and investment planning, assessment of PPP funding structures for the delivery of the new infrastructure, and preparation of documentation to support requests for European Union funding for the studies.
