Global Strategy Advisor: Risk Management

Fabienne Libert is a senior international banking and risk executive who advises leadership teams on risk governance, regulatory expectations and strategic decision-making in complex financial environments, drawing on approximately 35 years of experience within ING Group across Europe and Asia.

She began her career in Belgium and built deep expertise in finance, risk management, risk analytics and infrastructure, model risk, compliance and the design of banking risk functions. Her international career included a senior credit risk role with TMB Bank in Thailand before she assumed broader leadership responsibilities within ING.

Fabienne later served as Risk COO and Head of Model Risk Management at ING Group and ultimately as Chief Risk Officer of ING Netherlands. In these roles, she helped shape ING’s risk data, model and platform agenda and engaged closely with banking supervisory authorities on regulated risk matters.

Her profile combines institutional banking expertise with practical judgement on governance, supervisory expectations, financial resilience and the control of material financial and operational risks.

At DWG Next, Fabienne supports clients and the firm on risk management, institutional and financial risk assessment, governance and the risk implications of transactions, investments and strategic initiatives. She brings the perspective of a former senior banking executive to projects operating in highly regulated, capital-intensive or uncertain environments.
